Philip Fayer is the founder of Nuvei and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned entrepreneur, Phil has over 20 years of experience in the electronic payments industry. Phil founded Pivotal Payments (now Nuvei) in 2003.

Under his leadership, the Company expanded both organically and through strategic acquisitions (the most high profile ones being SafeCharge in 2019 and Paya in 2023) and is now a B2C and B2B payment leader helping customers transact and connect with their customers all around the world in any currency.

In 2020, Nuvei was named one of Deloitte Canada’s Best Managed Companies. In 2009, he was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40™ and in 2019, he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year ® for Québec in the FinTech category. Phil attended Concordia University, in Montreal, Québec.

Through a foundation with his wife, Phil devotes time for several charities, including with respect to youth unemployment and cancer research.
