6Storage was created in 2007 by a self-storage owner looking for solutions for his own business. The available facility management software options were expensive and didn’t meet his business needs. 6Storage quickly grew to facilitate the storage management of 2,400+ units in 6 locations across Iceland, and soon evolved to help simplify operations for self-storage businesses in 30+ countries.

The challenge

Most of 6Storage’s customers are self-storage owner/operators—typically small merchants for which pricing and ease of doing business are critically important factors. To penetrate the U.S. market, 6Storage needed to offer an integrated payments solution that could address merchants’ individual needs at a reasonable price, get them up and running quickly and offer the same exceptional customer service for which 6Storage has become renown.
